🎓 Booster Club 101: What We Do & Why It Matters
Welcome to the River Ridge Booster Club! We're a group of parents, guardians, staff, and community members who work together to support student success both in and out of the classroom.
We provide financial and volunteer support for a wide range of school programs, including athletics, arts, clubs, and student activities. Whether it’s helping fund new equipment, running concessions, or organizing scholarships and events, we’re here to strengthen the entire River Ridge experience.
Our Goals:
-
Support students and staff through fundraising and volunteer efforts
-
Promote school spirit and community pride
-
Provide resources and recognition for all extracurricular programs.
-
Encourage collaboration between families, school staff, and the community
No experience necessary.... just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help! We hope to see you soon at our next meeting!
Who can join the Booster Club?
Anyone! Parents, guardians, staff, alumni, and community members are all welcome. You don’t need to be affiliated with a specific sport or club to get involved.
What does the Booster Club actually do?
We raise money, coordinate volunteers, and organize events that support River Ridge High School students and staff. That includes concessions, scholarships, equipment purchases, appreciation events, and more.
I don’t have a lot of free time. Can I still help?
Yes! Whether you can give an hour a month or just show up when needed, every bit helps. Some jobs take 10 minutes. Others need more planning. We’ll work with what you have to give.
Does the Booster Club only support sports?
Not at all! While athletics have historically been a big focus, we are actively expanding support for all student groups—arts, clubs, academics, and more.
When and where do you meet?
Meetings are held monthly on the second Tuesday* of the month at 6pm, and are open to all. Meetings are held at the River Ridge High School Library. You can attend in person or hopefully soon, even virtually - check our calendar for the next meeting or the [Events] page. * Meetings may be shifted or cancelled depending on holidays, school events or other situations. The most up to date information can always be found on our Facebook page or Current Events page.
How do I get involved?

Some possible things you can do as a member include: - Becoming a Board Member - Organizing events like Senior Flowers, engaging with clubs about upcoming student events like dances, or planning and supporting fundraisers - Organizing Teacher Appreciation Week and other staff and student appreciation events. - Volunteering by working in concessions for different sports. - Leading fundraising activities - Recruiting new members - Selling Hawk Gear - Representing the Booster Club to parent and student groups - Assisting in grant writing, student recognition and outreach - And so much more!
